Level 3 Building Survey

PURPOSE

The RICS Level 3 Home Survey is the most detailed survey report available. Formerly called an ‘RICS Building Survey,’ it offers a thorough and comprehensive evaluation of the property’s condition, along with guidance on defects, repairs, and maintenance recommendations.

WHO IS THIS SUITABLE FOR?

This is a detailed and thorough report intended for larger, older, or distinctive properties, as well as those in evident disrepair or requiring significant attention. This survey is most ideal if there is any plans for major works on the property.

Features of a condition report

Inspection

  • Comprehensive inspection of all accessible areas of the property and its outbuildings.
  • Evaluation of both major and minor defects within the property, including the potential impact of these issues.
  • Inspection for any hidden defects that may not be immediately visible.
  • Assessment of timber for signs of rot or active woodworm infestation.
